The Guru line is one of the most recognizable captive lines of Varanus salvator in the hobby. I call mine true Gurus for a reason: there are a lot of animals out there sold as Gurus that aren't. I produce true Guru animals and pair them into my albino projects to move the genetics forward.

Why I say “true” Guru
There are a lot of monitors out there that people claim are Gurus and aren't. That's the one place on this whole site I use the word true — because with this line it actually means something. Every Guru I produce is the real thing, US captive-bred and born.
Two pairings, two hets
I breed my Gurus to both corals and T- albinos. The coral pairing produces true Guru 100% het albinos; the T- pairing produces true Guru 100% het T- albinos. Both are $1,475, and both are the smart entry point for anyone who wants to work with albino genetics without paying visual-albino money.
Where it leads
The Guru 100% het T- paired to an Ice Dragon (Type 2 T-) is what produces the Ice T- Guru albino — the top animal in the whole program. Buy in at the het level and you're building toward that.
